For once, the message is not to read the label, but to observe the label.
Packaging something more than graphic design, it’s the interface between us and the product: through the Art of Typography and Graphics, in the blink of an eye, it tells us about the identity, quality and history of a product.
a href=”http://www.irvingandco.com”>IRVING & CO, the London-based studio born in 2006, has now become a surce of inspiration for all those who see Labeling and Package Design as an art with poetic license.
Co-founder Julien’s heros are the designer Alan Fletcher and photographer Irving Penn. The best way to render homage to them? Fletcher is his dog’s name, and Irving the name of the studio, that now can boasts the packaging, labels and corporate image of excellent product: i the food universe, a lot of brands relied on them, such as Carluccio’s, The Fine Cheese Co. and Artisan Biscuits, just to name a few.
