Last thursday we ended the events about the Street Food Manifesto created by Tour De Fork. RADIO guests, we have revisited the street food in three countries across the U.S., Israel and China.
The Pita Bag designed for the project “Israel” was conceived as a textual work – review of the classical pita form. We were Inspired by the idea that, in Jewish culture, food, and most of everything the bread, is a basemental part of the written word. We wanted to keep the classic hand-held and eaten by bites kebabs, but define a form “posh” that recalls something that normally takes around: bread stuffed to take away like a handbag.
The live by Presenz and Tel Aviv street food reportage by Niv, have corroborated the first evening of street food manifesto.
In New York, an habit of many in the city, warming their hands in the winter with a cup of coffee or take-out soup and vegetable broth. Developed and designed by our food talent Linda Troni, The Vellutaniche warmed and defined the thesis of the street food manifesto: any food shaped for the outside walking can be street food and the soup takes just the shape you want! The 4 colored soups, dispensed in cans of 20 lts each prepared with fresh organic vegetables, Everybody liked them a lot. We removed the soup from the table and open the taps! Self-service citizen of the more organic food, and home-food of the world.
Natasha played a small China with mantou dragon coloured, customized printing and filling food. Someone told us we were better people than those that are eaten in China! With images of Chinabrenner, real geeks Sichuan cuisine and heated by Nicola and Cristian djset as Serendeepity Soundsystem.
Thank you!
